Where are we?

SeaSalt Honky Tonk and the PRJKT Concessions (PCH Tacos, Beach City Provisions and SeaLegs at the Beach) are all located at Bolsa Chica State Beach. If you’re coming from the iconic Huntington Beach Pier, just head north on Pacific Coast Highway, past Dog Beach, and continue to the next traffic light after Seapoint. SeaSalt Honky Tonk is the first venue North of the Bolsa Chica Visitors Center

The Park's main entrance is: 17851 Pacific Coast Highway

Beach Details:

Bolsa Chica State Beach features three miles of pristine coastline, located at the northwestern tip of Huntington Beach, California. Cars are not permitted to park overnight and are subject to ticketing. The front gate is locked at 9pm every night. Hours: 6am to 10pm Daily.

Bolsa Chica State Beach is a popular summer destination. As such, when the beach is at capacity the gates will be closed and no vehicle entrance is permitted. This can happen on many busy summer weekends. The State Parks Department makes these decisions based on capacity and safety for all beach goers.

Parking Details:

The State Beach charges $15 per vehicle, Yearly Parking Passes are available through the Parks Department at: parks.ca.gov. All vehicles are subject to this pricing and the state may increase the fee on holiday weekends.

Ride Share:

When utilizing Ride Shares, Taxis, or Mom and Dad for a lift to the beach please take a few things into consideration. If you use the main entrance to the park the vehicle will be subject to the $15 parking fee.

When leaving the beach keep a few things in mind:

1. The easiest pick up point is XXXXXXXXX

2. Surge pricing will most likely be in effect when leaving a major event as the number of ride requests will temporarily spike.

3. Cars coming into the park will be subject to the $15 parking fee.

4. The main gate is locked at 9pm (Unless otherwise noted for an Event)

Bike Parking

We’ve got plenty of bicycle parking available at our venue! We encourage you to take advantage of this option—but please remember to ride safe and ride smart. Make sure your bike is in good working order and equipped with lights if you’re riding home at night.

When parking, be sure to lock and secure your bike properly, and avoid locking it to other bikes. Let’s keep the area organized and safe for everyone!

Events, Calendar

We love to party! On occasion our venue will be closed to accommodate private parties. Please check our calendar seasaltatthebeach.com/events_calendar before planning a visit. Interested in booking an event? Shoot an email to our Event Coordinator:ali@prjktgroup.com

Weather

Bolsa Chica is a north facing beach and subject to wind. This wind picks up most noticeably between 3pm and 5pm. While we get a ton of sun (thank you Huntington Beach!) temperatures will fluctuate between 65+ and 90. On average we enjoy sunny days in the high 70s and mid 80s in the summer and high 60s to mid 70s other times of the year.

Seating

Seating is on a first come basis. This includes our picnic tables, as well as furniture sets inside the property. While blankets or beach towels are allowed we ask that you do not bring your own umbrellas, pop-ups or any other outside furniture. If you are interested in reserving an area in advance for 10 or more guests please visit our reservations page https://www.seasaltatthebeach.com/reservations

Menu Questions

SeaSalt Honky Tonk and the PRJKT Concessions are proud to offer a wide variety of food options when eating at the beach. We take pride in our menus and are always able to accommodate an individual's dietary choices. Outside Food is NOT Permitted.

We’re proud to be one of the few spots in California where you can enjoy adult beverages right on the beach! Currently, state regulations only allow us to serve beer and wine, but we also offer mixed drinks made with soju—a popular Korean fermented rice wine. Trust us, our drinks are just as tasty as any cocktail, and if we didn’t mention it, you’d probably never know they weren’t made with traditional spirits.

Concerts

We support LIVE music. On Saturdays from 2-6 we work with Promoters across the Southland to curate a calendar of up and coming country artists. Every Sunday at 2PM Redneck Rodeo performs. We do not charge a Cover unless it is a Special Event. Follow our Instagram or Facebook pages for live updates or the calendar section of this website to get more details. If you are interested in playing at SeaSalt Honky Tonk please email: bookings@prjktgroup.com

All ages

SeaSalt Honky Tonk and PRJKT Concessions are family-friendly. We love welcoming guests of all ages. Just keep an eye on event details, as some of our events are 21+ only.

Please remember that while we do our best to create a great atmosphere, we can’t always control the actions or language of other guests. A live music venue filled with enthusiastic concert-goers might not always be the best environment for kids. We appreciate your understanding.

Pets at the Beach

We love welcoming pets at Bolsa Chica State Beach and PRJKT Concessions! As long as your furry friend is on a leash and well-behaved, they’re more than welcome to join the fun. Just keep in mind that state law doesn’t allow animals on the beach itself, so please stick to the designated areas.

Since our spot can get pretty lively—with other dogs, big crowds, kids, loud music, games, and even wildlife—make sure your pet is comfortable in that kind of environment. If it seems like a bit much, it might be best to let them relax at home.

And of course, being a responsible pet owner means cleaning up after your pup. If your dog isn’t following these rules, you may be asked to leave. Let’s keep the beach beautiful and enjoyable for everyone!

Tipping

We don’t automatically add gratuity. When our team members hand you the iPad to sign, you’ll see a tip bar at the top of the screen with options like “No Tip,” “15%,” “18%,” and “Custom.” You’re always welcome to tip whatever you’re most comfortable with—or not at all. We just want to make your experience as smooth as possible.

Paperless

We’ve gone paperless at our beach concessions to help reduce waste, so we only provide printed receipts upon request. Our registers handle all credit and debit transactions right on the device’s screen, making the process quick and easy!

Trash

Keeping Bolsa Chica beautiful is a top priority for our staff. With the magnificent Pacific Ocean to our front and the treasured Bolsa Chica Wetlands to our backs we understand the importance of preserving this area for future generations. Long gone are the days of 'Tin Can Beach' being the local dumping grounds. Now Bolsa Chica is a thriving stretch of sand that employs a few hundred local workers seasonally. We understand the importance of thinking green and thanks to Republic Waste Management we confidently report that our refuse is separated and recycled.

Other Concerns:

Beverages:

We have a strict “No Glass” policy at the beach—safety first! Broken glass and bare feet just don’t mix, especially with so many little ones around. That’s why we always use plastic, even when serving your fine glass of wine—it comes in a plastic cup for everyone’s safety.

If you’re looking for the best-tasting beer, we recommend enjoying it straight from the can! Plus, we’re going straw-free this season to do our part in protecting the environment. Thanks for helping us keep the beach safe and sustainable!

Food:

At the beach, we like to keep things simple, safe, and fun! Since we don’t have room for washing traditional plates, silverware, and all that fancy stuff, we stick to paper and plastic for serving. It keeps things practical and makes sure your beach day stays hassle-free!

We’re all about making your experience at Bolsa Chica the best it can be—without sacrificing safety or convenience. So kick back, dig in, and enjoy your beachside bites!

What To Bring

Pack like you’re headed for the ultimate beach day! That means sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat to keep the sun off your face, and maybe a light layer just in case the wind picks up. Bring a towel or blanket if you’d like to get cozy—but please leave beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers at home.

Come ready to relax, soak up the sun, and enjoy some beachside fun!

Lost and Found:

We end up collecting all kinds of things throughout the season—you wouldn’t believe some of the treasures we find! If you left something behind, there’s a good chance we might have it. Shoot us an email at Lost@prjktgroup.com,and we’ll do our best to reunite you with your lost goodies!
